About Aipysurus duboisii Bavay, 1869
Adult Aipysurus duboisii can reach a maximum total length of 148 cm (4.86 feet, including the tail), though most adults grow to around 80 cm (2.6 feet) in total length. The head of this species is slightly wider than the neck, with nostrils positioned on the upper portion of the head, and the nasal scales touch one another. A row of large subocular scales separates the eyes from the supralabial scales. The dorsal scales are typically smooth, but may occasionally have a small keel or small knobs. Individual A. duboisii vary widely in both base color and body pattern. This species has a relatively long tail, and the chin and throat are paler in color than the rest of the body.
