About Agriophara plagiosema Turner, 1898
Agriophara plagiosema is a species of moth belonging to the family Depressariidae. It was first described by Alfred Jefferis Turner in 1898. This species is found in Australia, and it has only been recorded from Queensland. Its wingspan measures 16 to 18 millimeters. The forewings are whitish, sprinkled with grey scales and marked with a few scattered blackish scales. All distinct markings on the forewings are blackish: there is a very short oblique streak starting from the base of the costa, and a prominent oblique fascia that runs from the costa at one-third of the wing length to the middle of the inner margin, which is often partially indistinct near either margin. There is also a short oblique streak from the middle of the costa; this streak is sometimes connected by a series of dots to a patch of blackish blending located above the anal angle, though this feature is frequently indistinct. A series of dots runs parallel to the hindmargin, and this series is also often partially indistinct. The hindwings are plain grey.
