Agonopterix clemensella is a moth species belonging to the family Depressariidae. This moth occurs in eastern North America, and has been specifically recorded from the following locations: Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Ohio, Oklahoma, Ontario, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wisconsin. Its natural habitat includes damp woods and meadows. The wingspan of this moth measures approximately 19 millimeters. The larvae of this species feed on a variety of species in the family Umbelliferae. Documented host plants include Sanicula odorata, Osmorhiza longistylis, Zizia aptera, Pastinaca sativa, and Heracleum mantegazzianum. Agonopterix clemensella overwinters in its adult life stage.
