Agelena orientalis C.L.Koch, 1837 exhibits sexual size dimorphism: males reach a total body length of 11–13.6 millimetres (0.43–0.54 inches), while females grow to 12.2–17.7 millimetres (0.48–0.70 inches). Their base body color is yellowish, with a distinct characteristic pattern on the upper surface of the abdomen. This species hunts prey by weaving large, entangling non-sticky funnel webs to catch its food. Agelena orientalis is distributed across a range extending from Italy through to Central Asia and Iran.
