About Agalychnis hulli (Duellman & Mendelson, 1995)

Agalychnis hulli, commonly called the cat-eyed frog, is a frog species that belongs to the subfamily Phyllomedusinae. This species occurs in northeastern Peru and adjacent areas of Ecuador. Its natural habitats are lowland tropical rainforests, and it lives at elevations no higher than 450 meters (1,480 feet) above sea level. Female Agalychnis hulli deposit their eggs on leaves that hang over temporary ponds; after hatching, the tadpoles develop in these ponds. This is an uncommon species, and populations in parts of its range are negatively impacted by habitat loss. It can be found within multiple existing protected areas.
