About Afrida ydatodes Dyar, 1913

Scientific name: Afrida ydatodes Dyar, 1913

Afrida ydatodes has a wingspan of approximately 10 millimeters. Adult individuals are similar in appearance to Afrida cosmiogramma, but their markings are diffused and covered in dark speckles (irrorated). Dark irrorations turn the normally white areas of the wings pale grey. The central wing band is clouded and dark; its edges are only slightly darker than the band itself, and do not form sharp, distinct lines. The hindwings are whitish, with a grey discal spot and a grey terminal border.
