The white-rumped swiftlet, scientifically named Aerodramus spodiopygius, is a species of swift that belongs to the family Apodidae. This species can be found in American Samoa, Fiji, New Caledonia, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, the Solomon Islands, Tonga, and Vanuatu. Populations of birds that were previously classified as this species in Australia are currently recognized as a separate species, the Australian swiftlet (Aerodramus terraereginae). The natural habitats of the white-rumped swiftlet are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical moist montane forests, and rocky areas.
