About Aeonium urbicum (C.Sm. ex Hornem.) Webb & Berthel.
Aeonium urbicum (C.Sm. ex Hornem.) Webb & Berthel. is a succulent flowering plant species that belongs to the Crassulaceae plant family. This species is endemic to Tenerife, which is one of the Canary Islands. On Tenerife, it grows in the northern part of the island, ranging from Teno Point to the Anaga peninsula. Prior to 1999, Aeonium urbicum was also thought to grow on La Gomera, another of the Canary Islands. In 1999, the populations that had previously been classified as Aeonium urbicum on La Gomera were reclassified as a separate new species, which was given the name Aeonium appendiculatum. Aeonium urbicum has been further divided into two varieties: Aeonium urbicum var. urbicum and Aeonium urbicum var. meridionale.
