About Aeonium glutinosum (Aiton) Webb & Berthel.
Aeonium glutinosum (Aiton) Webb & Berthel. is a very viscous perennial sub-shrub with a robust stem. Its branches grow up to 60 centimetres (24 in) long, and are decumbent or ascending; occasionally plants are subsessile. It forms rosettes of leaves that reach up to 22 centimetres (8.7 in) in diameter, with loose, subtle young leaves. Individual leaves grow up to 12 by 5 centimetres (4.7 in × 2.0 in), are yellowish-green, and usually have brownish stripes near the apex. Leaves are glabrous, with ciliated margins that bear few to numerous thin single-celled hairs. Its inflorescences are very loose, distantly branched, and grow up to 40 by 45 centimetres (16 in × 18 in). The petals are 5–7 millimetres (0.20–0.28 in) long, golden yellow, and usually have red stripes on their abaxial surface. This species is endemic to Madeira Island and Deserta Grande Island, which are part of the Madeira Archipelago.
