Aechmea fulgens Brongn., commonly known as coralberry, is a species of bromeliad frequently grown as an ornamental plant. This species is native to Brazil, where it grows specifically in the states of Bahia and Pernambuco. It forms an upright, open rosette. After it blooms, the plant turns reddish orange. It blooms only one time before it dies.
