About Adromischus marianiae (Marloth) A.Berger
Adromischus marianiae grows to a height of 10 to 15 centimetres (3.9 to 5.9 inches). This is a slow-growing, perennial succulent subshrub that usually produces thin, short branches. It forms a small cluster of leaves that are rough, warty, and nearly spherical in shape, with an appearance similar to dried raisins. The leaf colour is quite variable, but it is most often green, red-brown, or purplish, and leaves can grow up to 3.5 cm long. Its flowers are green with a subtle pink tinge, and measure around 12 mm in length. This plant is native to South Africa and Namibia. It grows on granite hills, and sometimes grows within rock cracks or in the shade provided by bushes. In cultivation, A. marianiae needs bright light and must not be overwatered. It usually does not thrive in temperatures below 5 °C.
