About Adenocarpus viscosus (Willd.) Webb & Berthel.
Adenocarpus viscosus (Willd.) Webb & Berthel. is a shrubby flowering plant species that belongs to the legume family Fabaceae, subfamily Faboideae. This species is endemic to the Canary Islands, where it is locally called Codeso del Pico. It grows above 1,800 metres (5,900 ft) on two of the Canary Islands: La Palma, specifically within Caldera de Tabouriente, and Tenerife. On Tenerife, it is a dominant shrub in Teide National Park, and also grows in parts of Corona Forestal Nature Park and Reserva Especial de las Palomas. The species inhabits subalpine climates and prefers xeric habitats. It is commonly found in high-altitude pine forest growing alongside Pinus canariensis, and also occurs at higher altitudes above the tree line.
