About Adelphocoris rapidus (Say, 1832)

Adelphocoris rapidus has the common names rapid plant bug and superb plant bug. It is a species of Hemiptera belonging to the family Miridae. This species can be found across most of the United States, excluding the central region of the country, as well as in the Peace–Athabasca Delta in Canada. Individuals of A. rapidus are larger than other members of the Miridae family, reaching 7–8 millimetres (0.28–0.31 inch) in length. Their body coloration is either yellowish-black or orange-black.
