Adela violella is a species of moth that belongs to the family Adelidae. It can be found across most of Europe, but it is not present in Ireland, Great Britain, Fennoscandia, the Baltic region, Croatia, Greece, and Portugal. This moth has an approximate wingspan of 11 mm. Adult Adela violella are active in flight between June and July. The larvae of this moth feed on the flowers and seeds of St. John's wort, which has the scientific name Hypericum perforatum.
