Adela caeruleella, commonly known as the southern longhorn moth, is a moth species belonging to the family Adelidae, also called fairy longhorn moths. This species was first described by Francis Walker in 1863. It is distributed across North America, with recorded occurrences in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia. Adult southern longhorn moths have been recorded flying in March within Florida, from April to May in areas further north, and in August in Quebec.
