Acrostichum danaeifolium, commonly known as helecho mangle, interior leather fern, or giant leather fern, is a large fern species belonging to the family Pteridaceae. This species is distributed across the entire Neotropics. Its fronds can reach up to 3 meters (9.8 feet) in length, and its pinnate leaflets grow up to 30 centimeters (12 inches) long. Spores are arranged uniformly across the back surface of the fronds. This fern favors growing in wet soil conditions.
