Acronicta brumosa, commonly known as the charred dagger moth, is a moth species belonging to the family Noctuidae. This species has a recorded distribution ranging from New York to Florida in the eastern United States. It extends westward through the southern states to California, and reaches north at least as far as Utah. The wingspan of Acronicta brumosa is approximately 38 millimeters. The larvae of this moth feed on a variety of oak species in the genus Quercus.
