About Acrobasis legatea (Haworth, 1811)
Acrobasis legatea is a species of snout moth that belongs to the genus Acrobasis. It was first described by Adrian Hardy Haworth in 1811. This moth species is found across most of Europe, excluding northern Europe, with its range extending eastward into Russia and Kazakhstan. The adult moth has a wingspan measuring between 19 and 25 mm. Adults produce one generation per year, and are active in flight from mid-June to early September. The larvae of Acrobasis legatea feed on Rhamnus catharticus and Frangula alnus.
