Acmispon neomexicanus is a plant with distinct hairy foliage, red hairy seed pods, that grows in dry shrubland.
Acmispon neomexicanus can be identified by its densely hairy leaves and smooth flowers that resemble small, unclustered mustard-yellow sweet peas. Its seed pods are a distinct red color, covered with hairs along their entire length, and have an extremely hairy base. This species grows in dry shrubland habitats.
