Acmella repens (Walter) Richard is a North American flowering plant species that belongs to the Asteraceae family. This species is native to the southeastern and south-central United States, where it grows mainly in the coastal plain stretching from Texas to North Carolina, and in the lower Mississippi Valley ranging from Missouri to Louisiana. Extra populations of Acmella repens can also be found in Coahuila, which is located in northeastern Mexico.
