About Aciphylla glacialis F.Muell. ex Benth.
Aciphylla glacialis F.Muell. ex Benth. is a stout plant with a robust root, growing 25 to 60 centimeters tall. Its leaves are stiff, measuring 10 to 30 centimeters long and 4 to 9 centimeters wide. It flowers in summer, producing blooms 2.5 to 3 millimeters in diameter. Its fruits are 5.5 to 10.5 millimeters long and 2 to 3 millimeters wide. This species is native to temperate regions of New South Wales and Victoria, Australia. It is common in tussock grassland and tall herbfields in alpine to subalpine areas, and occurs occasionally in snow-gum woodland. Because it is eaten by grazing animals, it is rare in farmed areas.
