About Aceria fraxiniflora (Felt, 1906)

Aceria fraxiniflora, commonly known as the ash flower gall mite, is a species of gall mite that produces galls on ash trees. This mite causes severe distortion of the male flowers of ash trees, leading to the formation of large, disfigured, disorganized galls. These galls stay yellow or green initially, later drying out and turning brown. Currently, there is little evidence that the damage caused by this mite has a significant negative effect on the overall health of ash trees.
