About Acanthinula aculeata (O.F.Müller, 1774)

Morphological description of Acanthinula aculeata: terminology follows that used for gastropod shells. The shell measures 1.9–2.1 mm, is slightly higher than it is wide, and is brown in colour. The periostracum carries ribs (elevated radial ridges) that have characteristic spines. The aperture of the shell is circular. The soft body of the animal is grey on the dorsum and tentacles, while the foot and sole margin are white. This species is distributed across Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Poland, the Netherlands, Slovakia, Great Britain, Ireland, Ukraine, and other locations not listed here.
