About Acalypha chamaedrifolia (Lam.) Müll.Arg.

Acalypha chamaedrifolia, commonly known as red cat's tail, is a flowering plant species belonging to the family Euphorbiaceae. It is native to southern Florida and the islands of the Caribbean. This plant grows best in a potting mixture that does not contain loam. Under its synonym Acalypha hispaniolae, it received the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit in 2002, though this award appears to have since been rescinded.
