About Abronia oaxacae (Günther, 1885)

Abronia oaxacae, commonly known as the Oaxacan arboreal alligator lizard, is a vulnerable species of arboreal alligator lizard. It was first formally described in 1885 by Albert C. L. G. Günther. This species is endemic to Oaxaca, Mexico. The species occurs in central Oaxaca state, Mexico, and has been recorded at elevations ranging from 2,100 to 2,743 metres (6,890 to 8,999 feet). As an arboreal species, it is primarily found in undisturbed primary pine-oak forest, and it has also been observed in moderately disturbed habitats.
