About Abildgaardia ovata (Burm.f.) Kral
Abildgaardia ovata is a perennial plant species that grows 40 to 70 cm (16 to 28 in) in length. Most individuals have one spikelet at the tip of their scapes, though scapes can bear up to three spikelets. These spikelets are laterally compressed and measure 7–12 mm (0.28–0.47 in) in length. This species has a short rhizome, with a hardened, leafy base. It grows in wooded wet grasslands, and also occurs as a weed in Asia and Florida.
